Spring Creek Golf Course – located in Spring Valley, IL - is a traditional-style course in both aesthetics and playability. The course relies on natural land contours to challenge players with mature, rolling, tree-lined fairways, heavily wooded areas and water hazards on 8 holes. Strategically placed bunkers and generous, well-conditioned championship greens are features that all golfers enjoy and appreciate.
With short distances from green to tee, Spring Creek has an enjoyable, walkable layout that comes complete with challenges. It demands precision off the tee, but compensates with spacious fairways. Spring Creek’s own “Hail Mary Corner”, holes #12, #13, #14, #15, provide an endless array of risks and rewards that address the competitive spirit. Spring Creek provides young golfers the chance to learn and develop a game that lasts a lifetime. A complimentary junior clinic is Sunday, June 2 at 4 PM. Junior golfers and parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend to receive an introduction and hands-on experience. Reservations requested; call the proshop at 815.894.2137.
Junior Camp follows the clinic June 3 thru June 7. Junior Camp is open to all junior golfers in the Illinois Valley area regardless of club affiliation. Instruction classes for junior golf are determined by age/ability.
The Illinois Valley Junior Golf League is open to any Illinois Valley junior golfer (ages 6-18) that has had formal golf instruction. The League has golfers playing within their age groups in both boys’ and girls’ divisions. Reduced weekly rates include green fees, weekly prizes and end-of-year trophies and awards.
Ages 6- 8 play 5 (shortened) holes; Ages 9-11 play 9 (shortened) holes;
Ages 12-13, 14-17 play 9 holes.
